The primary responsibility of the Safety Associate is to coach and support management and line staff on the effective use of safety systems with a focus on compliance of following CGB policies & procedures and compliance with all State and Federal safety regulations. This includes verification of compliance with permit systems, performing risk analysis of all sites, conducting audits and providing effective training.Primary Job Duties Performs regular audits, inspections, and reports site visits Conducts investigations on all injuries and incidents using root cause analysis and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory compliance Participates and assists in the development and presentation of effective Safety Training and participates in Safety Committees Routinely coaches management and line staff to affect continuous improvement of all safety processes and programs and works to create an culture of safety in the organization Assists management in the development of safety plans and assists with the development and revision of policies and procedures. Leads and assists the organization in injury reduction efforts using job hazard analysis etc. Maintains understanding and knowledge of current Federal, State, and Local regulations along with company policies Assists management with documentation of safety and training recordkeeping within the region
