* Job Title: Sales Engineer – Body/Electronic/Chassis Sales• Company: AISIN World Corp. of America• Department: Sales #2, Body/Electronic/Chassis Sales • Reports to: Assistant Manager, Body and Chassis Components / OE Sales• Location: Northville, MI • Number of Positions: 1Position SummarySupport customer relations activities with OEM’sPosition ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position. Functional Responsibilities:1) Execute sales activities for Body, Electronic, Chassis & Engine products to various OEM and automotive parts suppliers.2) The sales activities are as follows (but not limited to): a) Lead the entire sales process for various products, set the schedule for the RFQ and quotation, and gather all information for quotation.b) Build piece price quotations and submit to customers on time by understanding the products, target & market price for the products, manufacturing processes, cost structures and profit potential.c) Negotiate pricing with each customer’s Purchasing personnel based on the developed quotes.d) Develop and execute short and long-term sales plans with customer sales with understanding of Drivetrain Engineering and NAP situations.e) Prepare necessary documents for internal and customer negotiations, as needed.f) Report major, weekly and monthly activities to the AWA Management.g) Support the launch of new programs, track prototype and production profitability of components sold.h) Conduct monthly sales meeting with NAP in order to closely communicate and to identify and meet expectations of NAP to AWA Sales.i) Carry out intelligence activities in regard to the market, customers, and competitors in order to gather “key” information of customers and competitors.1) Develop intelligence activities regarding the customer’s Purchasing, Drivetrain Engineering, Vehicle Assembly Plants activities and those of our competitors, in order to feed the “live” information to Aisin Groups. 2) Analyze strengths and weaknesses of products and process to support development of new products, processes, VA / VE, profit improvement, cost reduction, etc.j) Support manufacturing plants in their daily operations as needed.k) Promote cost reduction activities for NAPs in cooperation with NAPs, ATCA and Purchasing in order to meet the target price of the products and the target cost reduction target specified in the annual expectations given by the customers.l) Plan yearly / monthly business activities within established budget constraints by defining the targets/tasks/expected results. Prioritize the daily work according to the Company policies, customer needs management consultation and other factors as necessary.m) Interface with Drivetrain Engineering / Quality / Production Control personnel as appropriate, both Aisin and customer, with the purpose of supporting management of programs and the development of program str
