Position Summary:  The PbD Sales Specialist (PbD-SS) is responsible for driving PbD furniture business within a designated territory and sells specific product set of furniture and PbD solutions.  The PbD-SS also assists with relationship and pull through as needed.   Territory you will Cover: SC, GA, and FL  Responsibilities:                                          Percentage of Time Essential functions of the job. Manages entire depth and breadth of project from                        50% inception to purchase order stage. Understands and assesses customers’ needs and              20% requirements to identify and pursue sales opportunities. Collaborates with F&E Market Development Manager,                   20% RSM’s and Account Managers as needed in order to maximize cross and up-sell opportunities. Establishes, builds and owns relationships with                             10% project buyers, key district/site decision makers.         Education/Training/Experience: List degree(s), special training, or specific professional license required for position. 3 -5 years successful outside sales experience required; must have proven track record in sales Outside sales experience in furniture sales to K-12 or related environment and industry preferred 4-year college degree (Business, Marketing or Education preferred) or equivalent work experience     Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: List the KSAs needed to perform the position satisfactorily. Ability to effectively work both independently and collaboratively Consultative Selling Techniques - Highly skilled regarding  building value, positioning brands and creating competitive advantage through depth of knowledge of the channel  Must possess strong organizational skills; detail oriented; strong teamwork capability Effective communication skills both internal and external to the company Ability to make persuasive presentations to customers Ability to think both strategically and tactically Ability to manage customers as a business with analysis of opportunities, customer needs and finances; and to develop and present a vision. Technically skilled – able to use tools available Project Management Experienced in project management Continuously improves capabilities by upgrading skills Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to operate with a sense of urgency Organizational savvy – collaboration/influencing   Travel Requirements: State percentage of time individual must travel for position. Ability to travel 70% of time within territory   Physical Requirements: List the physical requirements associated with the position. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (carry catalogs, samples, etc.) Walk, sit, bend, and stand while making sales calls from home to car to customer site   Materials and Equipment Utilized: List materials and equipment utilized in position. Computer, laptop, cell phone, office telephone, etc. Personal vehicle   Working Environment: Describe working conditions that the position is exposed to. Home Office Environment K-12 School Buildings Work out of personal vehicle while traveling and meeting with customers Hotels and Conference Centers for trade shows
