Buyer, Aguadilla, PRActs as a liaison between Suppliers and multiple manufacturing sites, Commodity Management, and all other interfacing departments to plan, and execute all purchasing activities relative to fulfilling demand. Schedules, places, and manages hardware orders and performs associated activities, such as Request for Quote, price/cost analysis, and order documentation. Tracks individual part delivery and prioritization for both short-term and long-term requirements. Work with suppliers to prioritize product in their shop, including 'hands on' activities in the shop. Interface with product line to implement improvements in supplier performance. Provides on-site presence at supplier as required. Coordinates transition loading or off-loading of work, as required. Follows-up with supplier weekly (at minimum) with greater focus on critical hardware. Obtains milestone charts from suppliers for critical deliverables. Must have Bachelors with 2 years of directly related professional experience is preferred. Must have intermediate procurement management skills. Must be an effective communicator with vendors and team members.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and motivates people with no direct authority. Effective written and verbal communication skills, organized and computer skilled.( SAP, Microsoft Office Applications). Green Belt Certification preferred. CPM. CSM or CPSM preferred. Working knowledge of government procurement regulations (FAR) strongly preferred. SAP experience preferred. Exemplary communication skills demonstrating clear, timely information exchange leading to comprehensive understanding of communicated message.For this particular position US citizenship is requested.
