Cardiology TechnicianMercy Physician Network seeks 2 full-time Cardiology Technicians for our Cardiology practice based at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital in West Philadelphia. Primary Responsibilities Include:•Perform relevant diagnostic testing on patients including EKGs, blood pressure, etc. in preparation for examination by a provider and enter results into EMR•Inform, hook and unhook, upload and download reports for physicians’ interpretation of relevant diagnostic tests•Ensure all relevant testing is covered by the patient’s insurance and obtain any necessary pre- certifications prior to the testing as required•Prepare patient charts in EMR with all required information for the visit abstracted and ready 48 hours in advance•Maintain, stock and clean patient exam rooms and other relevant areas•Order supplies and handle prescription requests per office protocol•Scan EKGs and all new patient information daily•Escort patients to Emergency Department or directly to hospital floor as needed•Maintain sample closet and call reps when samples are neededCandidates must possess the following qualifications:•High School Diploma or equivalency•Ability to perform EKGs•Ability to interpret arrhythmias and EKGs•Knowledge of medical terminology, cardiovascular drugs and other types of cardiovascular testing•Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support•Certification as a EKG Tech is preferredMercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania is a diverse, integrated system, providing comprehensive health services and is comprised of four acute care hospitals, a home health care organization, a federal PACE program, Wellness Centers, and primary & specialty care practices.
