This will be a 6 month contract to hire position for a client developing a cloud based platform in the healthcare field. The Security Engineer is responsible for the engineering of information security solutions. Responsibilities include operating as the security subject matter expert with technical teams to build high quality, cutting edge solutions, design frameworks, and execute projects focused around cloud technologies. Responsibilities also include providing guidance, configurations, and customizations of security components across multiple applications. Essential Responsibilities: The Security Engineer will be responsible for maintaining deep technical expertise within the cloud technology vertical across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms. The Security Engineer will work hands-on alongside technical teams to help build and deliver information security solutions to support various IT initiatives. Work alongside IT application, architecture & design teams to ensure proper security requirements are identified and implemented for Corporate and Enterprise IT implementations Provide hands-on implementation of security requirements within IT projects Develop security focused, high-performance, scalable enterprise software to enhance the security of new and existing applications & implementations Perform security reviews, consultation, and advisory to project teams on application, infrastructure, cloud, and mobile platforms Maintain security & risk documentation for all engaged projects as part of Engineering team repository Ensure that risks are identified & prioritized for future application/product releases
