Group: MSSClearance Level Needed: SecretShift: Category: Engineering & Support ServicesManTech is seeking talented Configuration Managers to manage the effective development and implementation of programs to ensure that all systems products and services meet minimum company standards and end-user requirements on Air Force launch and range programs. General Responsibilities:General responsibilities include, but not limited toAdministers the change control process for zero defects software and or hardware development. Responsible for configuration management of requirements, design, and code. Evaluates and selects configuration management tools and standards. Prepares configuration management plans and procedures. Administers problem management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution. Ensures adequate product testing prior to implementation. Coordinates with users and systems development personnel.Verifies the completeness and accuracy of release libraries before implementation and ensures that correct versions of programs are included in specified releases. Makes recommendations to superiors regarding the acquisition and/or implementation of software to increase information systems efficiency, configuration management activities including product identification, change control, status accounting, operation of the program support library, and development and monitoring of equipment/system acceptance plans. Operates and manages program support library. Monitors library structure and procedures to assure system integrity, including procedures for collection, release, production, test, and emergency libraries and the movement/migration of components between libraries.Requirements: The candidate must have, at minimum, a Bachelors plus 7 years experience or 12 years equivalent experience. Direct experience in configuration control and configuration management on major systems required. For software systems, a degree in computer science is required. Experience with Air Force requirements for configuration management is required. Experience with Launch and Range systems is highly desired.Other Skills Required: This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making. Applicant will also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with others in a team setting, and proficiency with MS Office products to include Project, Power Point and collaborative software products such as MS SharePoint. Occasional travel in the CONUS is required. Clearance: Position requires, at a minimum, a Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance within 30 days.
