Group: MSSClearance Level Needed: TS/SCIShift: DayCategory: Programs & OperationsManTech is seeking a talented Project Manager with skills and background in Launch Vehicles and Project Management to lead a Team of engineers in support of new launch vehicle certification for the Launch Systems Directorate at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA. Candidate will be proficient in systems engineering to support the review and certification of new launch vehicle providers system design and processes. General Responsibilities:General responsibilities include, but not limited to tasks involved with program management and integration, team leadership, creation of briefings and point papers, organizing integrated product teams meetings, systems reviews, and interagency discussions and providing related documentation and reporting status to Government Leads.Requirements: The candidate must have, at minimum, a Bachelor&s of Science (B.S.) from an ABET accredited college with an emphasis in one or more of the following engineering disciplines: Systems Engineering or other engineering, or a major science such as math or physics. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 14 years industry experience in aerospace and/or launch systems engineering, and 10years experience in project/program management. Prom Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired. Substitution of higher education (MS, PhD) will be considered for minimum experience requirements. Experience with Air Force Launch systems is highly desired. Background in reliability, quality, safety, environmental, risk management, information assurance, and/or launch vehicle technologies is desired. Applicant will also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with others in a team setting, and proficiency with MS Office products to include Project, and collaborative software products such as MS SharePoint. Occasional travel in the CONUS is required (1-2 times a quarter).Other Skills Required: This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making. Candidates shall demonstrate ability to work manage and work independently without significant oversight and direction. Applicant will also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with others in a team setting, and proficiency with MS Office products to include Project, Power Point and collaborative software products such as MS SharePoint. Occasional travel in the CONUS is required.Clearance: Position requires, at a minimum, a Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
