Life Cycle Cost Engineer (Part Time) 1 Year Contract Additional Information    This is a part-time, on-call requirement as the need arises. Assignments may vary from short term (2 weeks) to multiple weeks. Location of assignment may vary across NH, Long Island NY, New Jersey   Position Description    Life Cycle Cost Engineer as a subject matter expert (SME) on cost analyses for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. Engineering SME will be responsible for preparing affordability trade studies and business cases, and conducting cost analyses for electronic products supporting various military services (ARMY, NAVY, Air Force, etc.). Included are Life Cycle Cost Evaluations (LCCE), Total Ownership Cost (TOC) Analysis, Cost Benefit Analysis, Cost As an Independent Variable (CAIV). Must have demonstrated ability to propose and perform an affordability program. Engineer will work independently as well as collaboratively with local or remote teams including internal program management, engineering, finance, operations; as well as external customers.  Skills Required    • Advanced-level knowledge and competency in DoD cost-estimating process and modeling tools, specifically Life Cycle Cost Evaluations (LCCE), Total Ownership Cost (TOC) Analyses, Cost Benefit Analyses. • Demonstrated technical competency in cost analysis of electronics products.  • Working knowledge of DoD customer logistics/product support needs to support Cost As an Independent Variable (CAIV) evaluations. • Working knowledge of DoD 5000.2 • Demonstrated excellence in writing and presentation skills, with competencies in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. • Excellent communication skills across levels of engineering, management and customer.  • Currently active Secret clearance or be eligible to attain secret clearance required. • Can work on intermittent basis, on short (two week) or long (multi week) term assignments. • Must be able to travel to New Hampshire, Long Island NY, or New Jersey    Skills Preferred    - Working knowledge of DoD Cost Capability Initiatives  Experience Required    - Minimum of six years of experience in affordability assessments and working with LCC/TOC cost estimates/models on DoD electronics programs. - Cost estimating/modeling SME, specializing in at least one branch of military service (Army, Navy, Air Force, etc) - Experience developing product support strategies/plans related to product cost. (samples of work requested)    Experience Preferred    - Cost estimating/modeling SME, specializing in more than one branch of military service. - Demonstrated use of BCA Guidebook, DoD RAM-C - Experience developing logistics/product support products (level-or-repair analysis, spares analysis, reliability analyses) and related tools. - Preferred Personal Military experience.    Education Required    Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (Military equivalent acceptable) or math/finance.    Education Preferred    - Formal degree in Electronics. - Accredited certification in Life Cycle Cost estimation - DAU certificates for cost estimation    Additional Information    This is a part-time, on-call requirement as the need arises.
