We are DFA-the premium provider of market opportunities for farmers and a value-added supplier of innovative dairy products and food components for customers around the world.General Purpose:Manages the member and customer service activities of the Mideast Area (MEA) field staff within an assigned geographical region. Ensures that MEA producers receive the highest level of professional field service available in the marketplace. Continuously seeks ways to improve milk quality and increase DFA’s market share of producers/milk volume. Strives to ensure field service representatives’ activities reflect and support DFA and MEA goals, strategies and values.Duties and Responsibilities:•Manage the activities of the Eastern Region field staff•Monitor milk quality levels and emerging special milk quality issues in the region. Develop and implement strategies and programs to continuously improve milk quality and deal promptly and effectively with emerging milk quality issues.•Maintain regular contact with customer plant personnel to monitor milk quality, shrinkage levels, and receiving operations. Develop a plan of action and respond promptly to correct deficiencies in any of these areas.•Develop and implement solicitation strategies and programs.•Monitor the impact of over-order producer payment programs (e.g. quality, volume, over-order premiums)•Monitor state legislative and governmental activities within the region to stay abreast of pending legislation/regulation that has potential to impact agriculture/dairy operations in the MEA.•Provide the Director of Field Service and administrative staff with complete, accurate, timely information - both written and verbal - required to effectively administer MEA programs and policies.•Conduct regular training and development activities for the field staff to enhance their personal growth/job satisfaction and provide higher levels of professional field service to producers.
