PT Community Support Professional- Cortland

A Community Support Professional is needed for a young man aged 17, who resides at home with his family in Cortland, and is looking to improve his independent living skills. He enjoys music, and is fond of programs and games which feature musical elements. An ideal candidate will have an easy going and cheerful personality, and be a creative problem solver. Experience with behavioral support, personal care, and basic sign language would be beneficial in this role. This position is for 6 hours per day, mornings & early afternoons Monday- Friday during school breaks. The main purpose of this very rewarding role is to work together with the individual(s) with developmental disabilities and those who care about them to create opportunities for achieving their dreams for success and happiness through increased independence, belonging, mastery, and generosity. Starting pay is $11.00 to $11.50 per hour. Many Community Support Professional members have used this role as a stepping stone to other progressively responsible positions within the agency.
