RESPONSIBILITIES:* While this locations specializes with both Automotive and Aerospace, this person will be 100% Aerospace focused* The work overall is an even mix of Mechanical & Electrical - "this type of work is really a whole field of its own" o Bearings are more mechanical and coil-winding & magnets are more electrical so when you rotate it you have a unique mix of both Mechanical and Electrical* 30% CAD (Solidworks 2015): Drawings, Design, CAD Modeling (3D models and 2D shop/mfg drawings)o This will also include FEA* 10% Magnetic analysis in Ansys:o Right now their Ansys only does static solutions rather than rotational motor type magnetic solutions* 50% Misc: Gathering accurate info from customers and suppliers, generating BOM's, researching Military Specifications (mil specs), constant communication with purchasing & sales all with the goal of providing accurate quotes to customers for their orders * 10% Travel: o Will travel to some regional suppliers and customersMUSTS:* BS in Engineering - can be either Electrical or Mechanical Engineeringo With motor products you can go either way - Mechanical Rotation (Mechanical) or Electronics (Electrical) * Ideally 5+ (or even 10+) years of experience, but would also consider someone with 1-5 years of experience as well* Power rotational products background: product-line that has spinning coils and/or spinning magnetso You want some form of a coil and some form of a magnet and the thing is spinningo Familiarity with motors, electro-magnetic actuators, power generators, turbochargers, etc* Aerospace background: they understand the military specs, low-volume manufacturing About Aerotek:Aerotek, headquartered in Hanover, Md., is a leading provider of technical, professional and industrial staffing services.
