We currently have a client who is looking to add to their staff of Residential/Small Business Installers who are going to be responsible for installing, dismantling, reconstructing, and programming security and fire systems for local customers throughout the Northern Puget Sound area. Duties and Responsibilities of Residential/Small Business Installer:Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customerConducts service calls and prewires residences.Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.Reads building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required.Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.Education:High School degree or equivalent mandatory.Technical training desiredEL06: Low Voltage licensed electrician - requires at least 4,000 working hours accrued, plus 48 hours of class and an examEL02: High Voltage (Residential/Small Business) - 8,000 working hours accrued & etc.Skills:Ability to read blue prints and schematic drawings.Ability to operate hand and power tools.Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times.Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.Must Have:Reliable vehicle capable of transporting a ladder and hand tools as well as maintaining parts inventoryExcellent customer service attitude About TEKsystems:Join TEKsystems®, a leading IT staffing, IT talent management and IT services firm, and get your career on the fast track.
