We offer excellent benefits and salary packages including free medical/dental/life insurance premiums for staff members.   AceInfo is currently seeking a System Aministrator I to support our federal project, in Chesapeake, VA. This position requires applicants to successfully obtain at least an interim security clearance, prior to start date, with the ability to obtain a final security clearance.     Position Description   The System Administrator (SA) will work as a member of the Infrastructure Support (INFRA) team, providing daily system support and maintenance for the System Monitoring and/or System Backups infrastructure hardware and software providing services to the Operations Systems Center Detachment Chesapeake (OSC-DET-CHES) Business and Support Systems. The SA will work primarily with Microsoft Windows Server systems (Server 2008 experience preferred).       The SA is expected to have technical knowledge of his/her systems and be capable of executing independent and team tasks as assigned.  The SA must be a team player and willing to interact with other people at all levels throughout the organization. The SA must possess the ability to identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across a variety of systems and platforms.    Responsibilities: • Day-to-day operations and administration of systems supported by the INFRA Team • Technical Support for the systems including responding to Help Desk tickets and working with users to resolve issues relating to System Backups and/or System Monitoring • Performing system upgrades and maintenance tasks, including installation and configuration of operating systems, administration of user accounts, and maintenance of system security posture. • Perform daily systems review (logs, backups, etc.) • Participate and contribute to architectural design, implementation, and continuous improvement of application infrastructure • Plan, communicate, test, and perform system maintenance, to include upgrades, security updates, and patching • Installing and upgrading system software and supporting operating system configuration in support of application and database software • Research and investigate problems, diagnose and provide resolution or viable solutions for hardware and software issues; appropriately escalating and reporting recommendations clearly and effectively to management and team • Provide technical input for policies and procedures and maintain associated documentation • Develop and maintain accurate documentation of servers and procedures • Adhere to Change/Configuration Management procedures and policies • Accurately enter host tracking and service approval information in internal DB • Automating server admin tasking including scripting and reporting
