Job Description: Reporting and Analysis • Responsible for and reviews all Financial Reporting-related phases of acquisition process, including Purchase GAAP Accounting, ledger integration and account mapping, and transition of overall Financial Reporting function to Protective • Prepare and review 10Q and 10K disclosures • Prepare and review Statutory filings of acquired entities, including quarterly and annual statements and supplemental filings • Responsible for working with segment and functional areas to coordinate the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial analysis packages • Review monthly/quarterly financial ledger reports for accuracy and completeness • Provide financial analysis, guidance and recommendations to department/senior leadership • Develops, maintains and improves statutory quarterly analysis packages • Responsible for working with segment functional areas to coordinate the preparation and review of quarterly statutory analysis packages • Supervise staff preparation of Statutory statements Special Projects / Other Responsibilities • Lead future acquisition initiatives from a financial reporting standpoint • Lead and contribute to process improvement projects • Assist with companywide strategic initiatives and provide recommendations to department/senior leadership • Perform ad hoc analysis/support as needed Required Skills / Experience Include: • 8 – 10 years of financial reporting experience (Statutory reporting a plus) • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (MBA or Graduate degree a plus) • CPA • Strong analytical and quantitative skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Able to meet reporting deadlines • Travel required during acquisition periods • Insurance industry experience is a plus
