The AR Clerk receives, reviews, processes and applies incoming commercial building tenant A/R checks to appropriate receivable accounts in an accurate and timely manner.   Works closely with the accounts payable team, the lease administration team, commercial collections and property management to ensure proper accounting of incoming funds.  Essential Functions: Achieves assigned goals and objectives in an accurate and timely manner. Scanning physical checks into the visual lockbox. Pulling down lockbox activity from the Huntington Bank Web site. Entering cash receipts in a timely fashion to the appropriate tenants’ accounts. Entering adjustments to the tenants’ accounts in order to keep all ledgers as accurate as           possible. Researching with lease administration and, where necessary, calling tenants on all non-designated overpayments and on small overdue balances upon receipt. Receiving in and accounting for all sales numbers for percentage rent calculations. When the   MRI software is not in use, enter percentage rent charges onto tenant accounts. When the MRI   software is in use, run the percentage rent calculations on the software. Sorting through Huntington Bank miscellaneous mail items and distributing 1099’s, unprocessed checks, etcetera to the proper personnel. Maintaining backup for cash batches posted and for adjustments requested and approved. Review Aged Delinquency and Rent Roll for ledger problems. Research issues with the help of lease administration. Providing cash receipts scanning and batch entry backup for the Residential A/R personnel. Supplying next month’s charges report to lease administration for approval at the time interval  they prefer, obtaining that approval and running statements on the 15th of each month or the first calendar day after the 15th. Other accounting-related projects as designated by the Accounting Operations Supervisor.
