Job Descriptions: Employee: Job Title: Master Technician, A Tech Job Description: The Master Tech/A Tech is a senior shop technician and is responsible for performing all diagnostic and repair services as required while meeting personal production goals. This Technician also helps ensures the center functions efficiently and profitably as a unit. Specific tasks: 1. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Automotive Drivability, Engine, Electrical, Drivetrain, Brakes, Suspension, Steering, A/C and Heating, Transmission and Transaxle, and Computerized system problem diagnosis, repair, rebuilding, maintenance services and processes including transmission removal and installation. 2. Demonstrate knowledge of systems affecting transmission performance. 3. Work with other center technicians to insure productivity and quality services are maintained. 4. Consistently follow AAMCO procedures to meet quality and production goals. 5. Assist CSM with parts identification and ordering. 6. Accurately perform (MPI) Multi-Point Inspections 7. Perform all repairs including Total Car Care and Maintenance Services offered. 8. Work with all employees to ensure quality is maintained and evaluate CBs to determine cause and solution. 9. Participate in required on-going AAMCO training and certification programs. 10.Maintain a clean work environment and perform equipment maintenance as required. 11.Perform special projects as directed by the Dealer or CSM. Employee: Job Title: Transmission Builder/Master Builder Job Description: The builder is responsible for diagnosing and building transmissions in the AAMCO center. The builder must be proficient in rebuilding all transmissions - manual and automatic. The builder will assist the team in ordering parts, maintaining inventory and performing R&R and basic Total Car Care repair and maintenance services as required. The builder will help the CSM/shop foreman determine proper work flow and work distribution. Specific tasks: 1. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of transmission problem diagnosis and rebuilding. 2. Consistently follow AAMCO procedures to meet quality and production goals. 3. Accurately perform (MPI) Multi-Point Inspection reports when required. 4. Assist CSM and Shop Forman with parts ordering. 5. Work with, or as needed, as an R&R and Total Car Care Technician to insure productivity and quality services are maintained. 6. Evaluate CBs to determine cause and solution. 7. Participate in on-going AAMCO training and certification program. 8. Assist with and service external transmission components on all vehicles and installing and removing transmissions when necessary to meet production goals. Identify Total Car Care business opportunities (brakes, belts, hoses, AC, maintenance items, etc.) on all vehicles and perform those general repair and maintenance services in an efficient and quality manner. Specific tasks: 1. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of vehicle performance and drivability diagnostics/repair and transmission removal and installation. 2. Demonstrate knowledge of systems affecting transmission performance. 3. Consistently follow AAMCO procedures to meet quality and production goals. 4. Also responsible for identifying any Total Car Care business opportunities (brakes, belts, hoses, AC, and maintenance services, etc.) on all vehicles and performing those general repair and maintenance services in an efficient and quality manner. Specific tasks: 1. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of transmission removal and installation and performance of common maintenance and repair services. 2. Consistently follow AAMCO procedures to meet quality and production goals. 3. Accurately perform (MPI) Multi-Point Inspections 4. Perform Total Car Care Services as required. 5. Work with other employees to ensure quality is maintained. 6. Participate in on-going AAMCO training and certification program. 7.
