Duties & Responsibilities: • Support the daily activities of PTC which include but are not limited to the following: o Lab test PTC functionalities for abnormalities and diagnose problems as they occur o Lab test to track database and report problems o Execute a Defect Management Process for PTC testing track database and software o Documenting test results and issues o Review specification documents and provide feedback o Support a problem resolution process to correct abnormalities, working closely with vendors, NOC, Telecomm, TSOC, and other company personnel as necessary o Monitor the PTC infrastructure for abnormalities and diagnose problems as they occur o Render technical advice and assistance to field personnel during problem resolution o Exercise resourcefulness in accomplishing testing to the PTC system • Position requires experience with testing software and PTC equipment • Support and assist as needed with the PTC implementation plan • This position will closely interact with the lead person from each area to ensure timelines, and milestones are met • Execute action plans to facilitate the cross departmental coordination and communication for the project plan • Responsible for driving the implementation plan schedule to ensure delivery of PTC on time and on budget • Thorough understanding of train movement and PTC data across multiple systems desired • Experience with CAD, TSS, TMDS, GIS, Project Planning and PTC is desired • Applicant must be an effective verbal communicator and possess the ability to work within a team • Prior experience in railroad and/or transportation helpful
