The MIS Content Analytics team helps support the growth of this business by managing the strategy and execution of the distribution of Fundamental data and analytics on Moodys.com and related channels, which ensures a quality user experience throughout via adherence to industry best practices. The team is responsible for managing the portfolio of development work for this business by prioritizing and resourcing appropriately. We are seeking an associate for our New York office to help source the data that underpins our analytic offerings and its ensure its quality across all distribution platforms. This associate would work with data providers both internal and external, focusing on best practices, on identifying areas for system enhancements and on efficient database design to streamline user workflows and better integrate our various content sets. The associate will participate in strategic projects affecting the website, web applications, and data services, as well as working with other teams within the company to set the data quality and data governance standards.Key Responsibilities:Work with internal stakeholders and colleagues to understand their business requirements and propose data sets and structures that best meet their needs Interface with internal and external data providers to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data they are sharing with us Ensure that the data is available appropriately across all distribution channels Use insight and industry best practices to participate in creation of user stories, test cases, and user acceptance plans to enhance content distribution channels and website functionality. Manage development cycle and coordinate launch of products which includes responsibility for creating the required documentation, testing and launch support. Provide training and support to internal users. Respond to product related questions raised by sales/marketing/analytic staff.Qualifications/Experience:Degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or economics preferred but not required.   Must have advanced proficiency in Excel.Must have an understanding of relational databases and experience with SQL. Previous experience with financial data sets is preferredKnowledge of Agile development process is preferred. Experience with RiXML and APIs a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office Sharepoint Services, or the desire and ability to quickly learn how to leverage these tools is required. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including very good presentation skillsAbility to work using own initiative and without close supervision. Ability to work pro-actively on a number of tasks while effectively managing deadlines for multiple stakeholders. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels, with both internal and external parties.Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.  Experience supporting a global user base is a plus.
