GENCO has an immediate need for a Desktop Support Technician I at our Romeoville, IL location. The Desktop Support Technician performs varying degrees of problem troubleshooting and resolution of desktop hardware and software issues.  Performs hardware and software installs along with moves, adds and changes (MAC) activities.  Follows established support and escalation processes and incident tracking guidelines.  Responsible for resolving problems and performing tasks within Service Level Agreements (SLA), and completing all related administrative duties.  Must understand the local infrastructure and have the ability to work with other Teams such as Network and Systems Administration Teams in order to ensure problem resolution.  The Desktop Support Technician II is responsible for:Work with Operations management to ensure accurate and timely completion of all operations IT Desktop break/fix items.Install and configure hardware and software as required (Projects, New implementation, etc…)Resolve customer hardware/software PC problem tickets within prescribed SLA through Desk Side and Phone SupportMaintain control and accurate documentation of all Assets within scope of responsibilityMaintain a high Customer satisfaction ratingMust be available to work extended hours when necessary; and provide after hours on-call supportAbility to work well in distributed teams with effective communication skills to ensure their tasks and ideas are effectively understood. This includes but is not limited to proactively providing status updates; identify areas and opportunities for improvement, and escalation of problems and issues to managers.Follow corporate vision, mission and values in daily activities.
