Accounting/Finance SUMMARY Responsible for providing timely, accurate data analysis in the area of decision support, cost accounting, forecasting, budgeting, reimbursement, financial statements and project analysis.  Responsible for designing and implementing detailed procedures to assure accuracy of data presented.  Coordinates hospital-wide financial analysis, data collection, retrieval and review.  Coordinates multiple functions including financial planning, accounting, information technology and clinical operations to organize, analyze and report cost, utilization and other financial and performance-related information.  Primary responsibilities consist of developing and executing SQL queries against existing data sources, the development, loading and manipulation of data files, and applying database skills to automate processes.  Use relational databases to allow linking and merging of multiple files for management and query analysis.  Develop reports for specific business needs as requested.  Will involve use of State and other data sources in addition to in-house database.  Position will support departments for internal as well as external. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related experience A combination of experience and education may be used to meet the Bachelor's Degree requirement A minimum of five years experience in analysis of financial and statistical data required Experience in Healthcare systems including data management preferred Advanced knowledge and skills in microcomputers, to include spreadsheets, word-processing, database management Highly proficient in SQL programming required Understanding of accounting rules and regulations required   Other Information EOE-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
