Group: MSSClearance Level Needed: SecretShift: DayCategory: Systems DevelopmentManTech is seeking talented engineers with skills and background related to project engineering and project management of launch vehicle and/or launch range systems in the areas of propulsion, engines, structures, avionics, mechanisms, communications equipment and software. General Responsibilities:General responsibilities include, but not limited to:Provide systems and technical engineering support to the U.S. Air Force Launch and Range programsEvaluation/design and performance assessments of launch vehicle and range systems and sub-system technologiesConduct and coordinate sub-system engineering review boards; develop and present reports summarizing assessments and results. Coordinate approval of reports and generate system-level risks from these review boardsEvaluate and track system and sub-system issues and configuration changesCreate/assess test plans against industry standards (SMC-S-016) Review and evaluate the results of sub-system testingInterface with multiple teams and government organizations—coordinate multi-agency reports and studies to apply to current Air Force efforts. Plan and support technical and schedule review meetings to include configuration control boards, technical review boards, and other systems review meetings as needed. Prepare and present data and results at the aforementioned meetingsConsolidate and coordinate data and results from other team members and report directly on a routine basis with the AF customer. Requirements: The candidate must have, at minimum, This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor&s of Science (B.S.) from an ABET accredited college with an emphasis in one or more of the following engineering disciplines: Propulsion, structures, engines, avionics, software, and engines, or a major science such a s math or physics. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 4 years industry experience in the specific engineering discipline. Substitution of higher education (MS, PhD) will be considered for minimum experience requirements. Candidates should be able to work independently without significant oversight and direction. Experience with Air Force Launch and Range systems is highly desired. Other Skills Required: This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making. Applicant will also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with others in a team setting, and proficiency with MS Office products to include Project, Power Point and collaborative software products such as MS SharePoint. Occasional travel in the CONUS is required. Clearance: Position requires, at a minimum, a Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance within 30 days.
