Historically, the team has always had engineers test each other's code. You will be helping to create an automated framework, test plans, and test cases where none have existed before. You'll get to hire and lead your QA engineering team. You'll work with mobile and Rails developers to deliver user centric, high quality features that delight customers. The ideal candidate wants to be being a part of a fast moving, agile team. You'll enjoy to rolling up your sleeves to ensure that we have high quality products.Your TaskBuild QA automation infrastructure from the ground up for mobile and web product teamsWork closely with development teams coaching them to adopt new frameworks. Provide guidance and support while bringing other team members up to speed on these processesEvangelize quality internally, ensuring product owners and other key stakeholders are aware of issues that should be addressedAnticipate team needs proactively identifying areas of improvement, efficiency, and new tools to incorporate into the quality processKeep on top of new automation technologies and frameworks to experiment and discover new testing avenuesSelect and manage cost-effective third party tools and outsourced testing servicesEnsure visibility of efforts by designing methods of tracking and reporting quality metrics across all implementations to determine the effect of changes made to various systemsHire, on-board, and manage the QA engineering team including vendor/contract resourcesAssist with quantifying customer and business impact of outstanding bugs/issuesYour skills3+ years QA/Test/SDET Automation experience3+ years leadership/management experienceExperience in test automation for iOS, Android, & Ruby on Rails preferredFamiliarity with Java, Objective-C, Ruby, MySQL, and RedisKnowledge of all aspects of testing products: Functional, Performance, Scalability, Security, Globalization, Stress, Usability, etc.Knowledge of multiple automated frameworksStrong communication and documentation skillsExperience testing in large scale, high availability, and low latency distributed systemsPassionate about testing with the desire and ability to find issues before our customers and partners do
