This position requires strong hands-on development experience and familiarity with all stages of the software development life cycle. The senior programmer will be called upon to produce complex solutions for our new and existing software solutions within limited time. We are looking for web developers with 5+ years of experience with ASP.NET web forms programming. Essential Job Functions Design, implement, test, and maintain solutions for new and existing SharePoint and web applications Lead technical design and build of all front-end components Collaborate with analysts and designers in the development and initiation of new and existing software programs and applications Research, document, and implement requirements and specifications Take an active role in cross-departmental projects when needed Advise on strategic technology issues (e.g. writing proposals and leading discussions on choices of new techniques and technologies) Oversee the quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution Drive the development and adoption of new coding standards and guidelines including browser compatibility, maintainability, and performance Be responsible for work products as required to ensure project and technical standards are maintained Be able to write change documentation for internal use Run and monitor performance tests on new and existing software for the purpose of correcting mistakes, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, programmers, and other software engineers to resolve defects in products or company systems Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices Keep abreast of new and existing technologies and techniques and be able to apply them to projects Participate in and/or lead code reviews as necessary to ensure compliance with established programming standards Help train and provide guidance to junior software development staff
