The Opportunity | Facility/Plant Manager Location: Vernon, CA This is an exciting opportunity to join the Surface Technologies group of our organization! CWST is a job shop provider of surface treatment services across North America, Europe and Asia. The technologies we work with include shot peening, engineered coatings, laser peening and analytics, and our client base includes Airbus, Boeing, GE and Rolls-Royce! You will be a key leader at the Vernon, CA site and a valuable member of the CWST group. Your Challenge Manage all aspects of the manufacturing operations. Provide leadership guidance and management to production supervision to ensure that production deliverables are successfully met as it relates to quality and on-time delivery and in accordance with adhering to all EH&S regulations and policies.  Work as a member of the CI Action Team Ensure full compliance of all company and work-related policies and procedures and all Federal, State and local laws, policies, regulatory requirements and on-site customer procedures. Provide leadership and daily management direction to all manufacturing, safety, environmental, Drive cost efficiencies through identification of process efficiencies, managing overtime and controlling usage of raw material and equipment / resource utilizations. Work proactively with Business Unit Manager and management team to ensure that site efforts and project initiatives are aligned with business needs and strategic direction. Guide leadership supervision with cross-training initiatives to the production and maintenance staff. As it relates to manufacturing execution, ensure compliance to customer specifications and on-time delivery commitments are met. Perform performance monitoring / reviews and implements corrective action performance measures as required to meet productivity output and behavioral workplace standards. You will be responsible for adherence to all safety programs, processes/procedures. ​Your Expertise Associate’s Degree in Business/Operations, Engineering or Financial Management OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. 10+ years manufacturing experience with related leadership responsibility 5+ years’ experience with thermal spray/coatings, peening, and/or laser welding is preferred. Previous experience in the Aerospace industry is preferred. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and systems operations. ​This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
