The Opportunity | Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer We are seeking an outstanding individual for the role of Quality Engineer - CMM programmer in Emergent Operations for the Actuation Systems Division. You will Work with Operations, Purchasing, and Engineering to solve complex problems and advance the continuous process improvement effort through, effective corrective action implementation, and associated quality tools, such as FMEA, DOE, Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, and Gage R & R studies. Your Challenge Program at an acceptable level, advanced metrology equipment, such as CMM, Gear checkers, and vision systems.  Capable of performing mechanical inspection, using the latest measurement techniques and equipment, including hand held gages, such as micrometers, calipers, surface finish analyzers, as well as coordinate measuring machines and optical measurement equipment Evaluation of engineering specifications as they relate to manufactured, as well as procured hardware and process In-process and final inspection of components and assemblies Perform Business System transactions to facilitate shipping of product (i.e creating all required shipping documentation such as pack sheets) Package product for shipment to customer Investigate cause and oversee the corrective action of manufacturing, assembly, supplier and customer related discrepancies. Review and approve manufacturing process instruction sheets and other manufacturing and quality documents. Develop first article inspection requirements. Become an established and active member of the material review board (MRB). Be well versed in all aspects of the QMS, including the IQS system. Your Expertise Minimum High School Diploma required. Associate’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in a related field. 2-5 years related Quality and CMM Programming experience Possess demonstrated ability to program advanced metrology equipment at an acceptable level.  (Zeiss CMM programming software Calypso) Familiar with close tolerance NC and CNC machining and related inspection techniques.  Computer literate and experienced with word processing and spreadsheets. Working knowledge of GD&T.   This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
