The Opportunity | Supervisor, Quality Control Location: Indianapolis, Indiana If you are looking to make a career change, or looking for the next step for your career in Quality, this is an excellent opportunity for you!  We are a global leader in metal processing and we need a dynamic individual to join our management team!  As a Supervisor of Quality Control, you will maintain overall responsibility for quality system implementation and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with organization, industry, customer and regulatory expectations, while focusing on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.  Your Challenge Formulate and execute quality assurance objectives in alignment with Corporate and Business Unit goals. Ensure alignment with the established AS9100 Quality Management System and customer specification requirements. Direct inspection and testing personnel to promote effective control of processes and products Interface with members of the management team to communicate the status of process compliance and enhance overall operation of the facility Implement audit functions ensuring quality systems and processes are consistent with internal documentation, standards and customer requirements Drive corrective and preventive action processes Identify training needs and introduces facility-level plans for completion Maintain customer relations to promote quality initiatives and interpret impact of process/product engineering changes Develop continuous improvement initiatives that integrate Total Quality Management and Lean concepts. Maintains and implements the Quality Management System that aligns with ISO9001/AS9100 Standards. Must be proficient with interpretation of process control specifications and quality system documents.  Your Expertise High School Diploma required. Degree would be an advantage; Experience as a Machine Operator or Quality Inspector required; Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office; Strong attention to detail; The ability to interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings. This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
