The Opportunity | EO Manufacturing Supervisor Supervise and direct the activities of hourly workers involved in precision metal machining and assembly of component parts, which requires a board range of machine tools and equipment. This position’s shift is Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm. Your Challenge Assign and supervise the work of hourly employees to meet all quality requirements and production schedules. Review schedules and adjust parts flow to meet schedule requirements. Assure that work assignments are performed to manufacturing and quality procedures. Set up a culture and an attitude with an emphasis on quality improvement. Coordinate timely flow of tooling machines to minimize downtime. Enforce company policies, safety rules, and good housekeeping. Taking appropriate corrective actions when necessary. Arrange for maintenance repairs of equipment and tools. Evaluate performance of all employees, and take corrective action when appropriate. Interview applicants and make recommendations on the hiring of new employees. Maintain a close working relationship with manufacturing support personnel. Perform other tasks as assigned by management to accomplish the mission of meeting delivery and quality requirements to our customers. Your Expertise High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Some college preferred. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a related machine shop/manufacturing environment. Knowledge and experience with component machining operations. Computer proficiency (MS Office Suite) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and process work sheets. Ability to inspect parts to blueprint specifications. Previous experience in a leadership role preferred. Strong communication skills. This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
